LibreNetMap

Network diagrams shouldn't require enterprise licensing or a browser tab with 4 GB of JavaScript. LibreNetMap is a cross-platform desktop app in Go + Qt6 for designing, visualizing and documenting networks — built by a network engineer, for network engineers.

The difference from generic diagram tools: it understands networks. Devices come from port-aware vendor/model templates (SQLite-backed, with a template editor); you drag connections port-to-port, model port-channels and logical links, and label links with VLANs and speeds. Automatic link fan-out and curved routing keep dense diagrams readable. Documents are single-file, versioned .netmap portables.

PNG/PDF export, undo/redo, inspector panel, dark/light aware. Early alpha with nightlies, and a staged roadmap toward VLAN/MAC/IP modeling and SNMP/SSH-based discovery — the point where the map starts drawing itself.
