Conan — The Barbarian

When your fleet grows past a hundred hosts, your SSH workflow becomes the bottleneck. Conan is a fast, minimal, extensible connection manager for sysadmins and network engineers: a Spotlight-style global-hotkey fuzzy launcher that gets you into any box — ssh, rdp, winbox, or anything you define in the YAML protocol system — in three keystrokes.

Server definitions live in YAML with tags and scale to hundreds of hosts; there's a GUI and a curses TUI for terminal purists, tray integration, plus a Markdown sticky-notes system with optional Gist sync. Security is non-negotiable: AES-256-GCM encrypted configs and credentials, master password, zero telemetry.

The "Barbarian" fork (Qt6) adds an embedded tabbed terminal emulator and SSH session manager — detachable sessions that reattach after restart. Named appropriately: it charges into your infrastructure and takes what it needs.
