AnotherPlayer

A cross-platform desktop music player written in Go with Qt 6, inspired by foobar2000 and Winamp — a synthwave-styled interface over a backend built for local and network libraries. No Electron, no web UI, no cloud lock-in. The heresy of playing music with a native program, revived.

The virtual filesystem treats SMB/CIFS shares as first-class citizens — stream straight off the NAS. FFmpeg handles everything (mp3, aac, m4a, ogg, flac, wav, opus…), the library does ID3 tag extraction with SHA-256 dedup, and there's built-in Soulseek-based discovery and downloads. Spectrum and oscilloscope visualizations included, because a music player without dancing bars is just a spreadsheet with speakers.

Compact Winamp-style mode and full library mode; encrypted credentials; no telemetry. Alpha builds available from my build host — its Swift descendant is MOOSIC Player.
