IRC never died; it just outlived its clients. AnotherIRC is a fast, futuristic, cross-platform IRC client in Go + Qt6, macOS-first with native Liquid Glass vibrancy — proof that a 1988 protocol deserves a 2026 wardrobe.

The core is a hand-rolled RFC1459 + IRCv3 implementation (CAP negotiation, message-tags, server-time, batch), with SASL and NickServ auth, full ZNC bouncer integration with playback replay, TLS, and AES-256-GCM encrypted credentials. Quality-of-life is stacked: inline image thumbnails, mIRC color rendering, fuzzy buffer switching (Cmd+K), graphical channel-mode and ban-list editors, chat logging with in-buffer search, native notifications and a tray quick-reply window.

The crown jewel: a real mIRC-style (mSL) scripting engine — aliases, remote events, timers, hash tables, file I/O, custom menus. Two decades of muscle memory, finally portable.
